Operating Diagnostic
A single intake engagement to get clear on the next six months — what matters, who owns it, how you'll know it's working.
For founders who feel pulled in too many directions and need an outside eye to call it.
I've been the founder.
Now I sit next to her.
I work part-time inside companies as a fractional generalist exec — helping founders cut the noise, know their numbers, and ship the next six months.
You know your business better than anyone in the room — but the room keeps telling you otherwise. LinkedIn highlight reels. Investors who don't get it. Advisors handing out frameworks borrowed from somebody else's win.
What you don't have is someone in the room who's done it — not in theory, but inside a company they built and sold.
No retainers for the sake of retainers. The point is momentum, not dependence — I'm here long enough to matter, then out.
A single intake engagement to get clear on the next six months — what matters, who owns it, how you'll know it's working.
For founders who feel pulled in too many directions and need an outside eye to call it.
A defined-scope project to take one thing from idea to live, with me in the seat driving it.
For founders with a specific blocking project and no one to own it.
Ongoing part-time operating support — I drive the rhythm with you, take big projects off your plate, and hand it back when you're ready.
For founders who need a real operator alongside them, not another advisor.
Also working with founders on pivots, exits, wind-downs, and the parts of building nobody talks about.
No pitch, no slides. Tell me what you're building and where you're stuck — I'll tell you straight if I'm the right operator for it.

Here's the work. Specific, narrow, real — the same posture I bring inside other people's companies.
Built and sold a consumer subscription brand with no engineering team and no co-founder. Designed the full stack on no-code tools, scaled to 21,000+ items in continuous circulation.
Ran the acquisition solo to exit to The Swoondle Society in 2025.
Stood up the program management office for a £6B global transportation operator and led its data and operations transformation.
Built the teacher evaluation system from the ground up for the country's second-largest school district — frameworks, rubrics, custom software, union negotiations, and training.
Took 80,000 employees to the new model. The platform was adopted by districts nationally.
Right hand to the CEO of a 13-school charter network through a financial crisis and CEO transition.
Built the operations dashboard that gave leadership their first real view of revenue-critical metrics.
Same shape every time: get clear, get moving, hand it back.
Scaling a physical product into hospitals, labs, and pediatricians' offices. Alongside the founder on priorities, team rhythm, and tactical lifts — most recently developing operating procedures for DTC and B2B fulfillment ahead of a 3PL transition.
Strong service, no private-pay pipeline. Repositioned around her credential, audited the site and Google presence, and built a 90-day marketing plan she can run herself.
I was overwhelmed by the scale-up. Lauren stepped in and made it doable. She just 'gets it' in a way only someone who has done this can.MD Dr. Manju DawkinsCo-Founder & CEO, Thimble Health · seed-stage
She asked all the right questions — and a few that shed insight on what we missed. Because of her feedback we exceeded expectations. She remained flexible and supportive throughout.TB Trey BurghardtProduct Designer, Fora · prev. TextUs, Sleeper, G2
Lauren is skilled at identifying organizational needs and developing a strategy to meet those needs. She excels at completing large-scale projects and is incredibly collaborative. I was impressed by her reliability and depth of knowledge.SS Sanam SmithMajor Gifts Fundraiser · Non-profit
She's an experienced, exited founder — she knew exactly how to help. She worked independently and collaboratively and set us up for success.MD Dr. Manju DawkinsCo-Founder & CEO, Thimble Health
Strong opinions, lived not borrowed.
When I'm not next to a founder, I'm —
P.S. Not a woman founder? If this still resonates, write anyway.
Short and direct is fine. Tell me what you're building, where you're stuck, and what you'd want from working together.
